Example:
  • Search with exact “sth” operators – type: “John Doe” to find only results contains that name and last in that combination. If you want to search for a specific phrase, with the words given in the order you want, put the search term in quotation marks (“”). Best pages you can often find information about the contact you are looking for are:

Traditional means of contacting businesses and getting to know more about them are still around. The Yellow Pages can be used when the business you’re looking for cannot be found via more modern digital means.

When you’ve heard about someone related to your business but don’t know how to find them, a simple WhoIs search does the trick. Just search the person you’re looking for and you’re bound to get a good lead on them.

6. Ask them directly

Nearly everyone uses social media platforms nowadays. They allow for direct contact between people and you can use them to approach someone directly and have a chat face to face. Whether it’s a chat service on the website on Facebook, just ask directly.
Do you remember plugins that always annoy you? Yes, exactly, the same ones that pop up at the least appropriate time, covering you half the screen. Bingo! This is usually a plugin for direct contact with a customer service representative. Ask her straightforwardly that you need direct contact with a person related, for example, to marketing because (insert a really important reason). Easy! Most known plugins are Facebook Messenger, LiveChat, CallPage and many more.

7. Facebook

Facebook is a widely used social media platform and allows you to find people simply by searching their names. Once you have located who you’re searching for, a direct message does the trick to ensure contact.
Facebook is not used to search for information, although it has many features that you can use. Search for:

  • people who like company posts most often – you will see that the same people are often repeated and most often they are employees of the company or at least the marketing department

8. Email or call the company

Want to make the first move to contact another business? Just email or call a representative of the company and get in touch with them. Make sure you keep your tone business-like and let the rep know why you want to contact them. Make sure to be prepared beforehand for the call and make it a personalized effort.
You will find tons of hints and ready-made patterns or templates that should include such a conversation or cold mail. Remember about:
  • Preparation – check several sources, recent information about a person or company
  • Attitude – self-confidence, remember to not sell anything, be a potential partner mindset

  • It is important to try – do not worry if it does not work out at first 10 times.
