For many of us, SEO is associated with rapid increases, which quickly translate into growing income. Indeed, SEO processes can lead to spectacular results. Most often, however, each uplift on the graph has its source in many hours of activities that can last for months – although this is also not the rule. So what determines the time in which we can enjoy the first success of SEO since it is so diverse?

The positioning effects usually have to wait a bit. Some, however, must have a little more patience than others, which often meets with negative feelings. These are most often exaggerated, and the modest beginnings of positioning after a while turn into great results. But what affects how long our patients can be abused?

Table of contents:

1. The industry in which the company operates
2. A positioning company and SEO strategy
3. The history of the website
4. Competition and its activities
5. Construction and content of the site
6. Website parameters

What affects the positioning time?

1. The industry in which the company operates

One of the most important factors that every SEO specialist has to face is the industry in which the company operates. It is she who determines how much competition he will have to face, and how difficult it will be to take selected phrases to the heights of the browser. Specialized, rare products will be easier to place in high positions than popular, often searched phrases. It is also important whether the party wants to operate only locally or nationwide – the greater the range of its operation, the more difficult the task for the positioner.

2. A positioning company and SEO strategy

Skills and experience are valuable in every area – also when positioning. An experienced SEO specialist will certainly choose better actions that will gradually contribute to the company’s success. The positioning strategy is also very significant – other benefits are brought by the attitude towards a quick increase in position, while others – broad positioning. Adapting it to the goals we want to achieve is the key to success!

3. The history of the website

It happens that pages change hands, not every couple takes care of the site properly. Sometimes, a website that aspires to become a popular online store has once been considered by Google as spam. In the case of banning, blocking and imposing the so-called “Filters” further positioning of the page, even if completely changed, can be significantly hampered. Rebuilding your browser’s trust for a given website can take a long time! The new websites also do not have much on this issue – also in their case, Google has to find out that they are worthy of interest. These factors make it necessary to demonstrate even greater vigilance and an individualized approach when optimizing.

4. Competition and its activities

On the internet, nobody is alone and even the best online store has to accept that it has competition. It does not sleep either – or maybe it also wants to position herself! In this situation, the SEO specialist may also have a difficult task, because he has to “fight” for phrases not just with the search engine itself, but also with the potentially supported by SEO opponent. This situation may make the time needed to achieve spectacular success significantly longer.

5. Construction and content of the site

Clients are reluctant to enter obsolete websites, and Google’s robots are following them. Unfriendly architecture, opaque interface and empty pages is a simple recipe to extend your path to good results. Intuitive website support, however, is not everything – what’s important is what’s on it. Google will not buy our products but will be interested in all the content we post on their websites. Their lack can be very detrimental to the position of the site, but when they are optimized well enough, they will significantly shorten our path to the top positions in the search engine.

6. Website parameters

In the positioning process, not only the page itself is important, but also how it is perceived by the systems that receive its parameters. A site with a low Page Authority is certainly not likely to be found high in the search results. Equally important is the number of qualitative links leading to the page, as well as a number of other factors. It is they who have a big influence on whether Google receives the website positively and decides to promote it.

Three months, six, nine … When will we see the results?

We can expect good results when the website’s status and content are comprehensively improved. It is a process that can take several months, but if it is consistently continued, it can lead to spectacular results.
The first three months of positioning are crucial for later successes. These weeks are the time when specialists are familiar with the content of the site and develop a strategy that best suits their needs. Then, it comes to choosing the right keywords for a given customer. At the same time, an audit is being prepared to indicate the problems the party is facing and find solutions that will help to make these problems irretrievably gone.
Most often during the first three months, the website optimization process begins. For specialists, this is also the time of acquiring the first external links leading to a given page. They are aimed at improving the website’s parameters and making it better to accept subsequent updates.
For the first three months, you should not expect a sharp increase in visits to the site. During this time, however, charts of views of subpage data in the search engine may go up, and the page’s visibility may increase for individual phrases – and it is them that in the long run will translate into the success of the website. The first signs will be visible from 3 to 6 months after starting the positioning process. This is when you will be able to observe the increase in traffic or the number of people visiting our website. However, it is necessary to wait for the translation of these results into conversions – this is usually the case from 6 to 12 months from the start of positioning. However, this process may take much longer – if the site has seen declines before the SEO processes begin, additional time will be needed to rebuild what was previously lost.
